Years ago I found it really good and tasty in the old customs house. In the meantime it seems to me that the room is degenerating into a canteen, strangely enough, almost every table has food left after a few minutes, is it kept warm, like in a canteen? Because that's how it tastes too, käsespätzle totally bland, the cheese without taste ... much too expensive for this quality, unfortunately I have to say: I don't go there anymore, bitter disappointment after all these years. I hope you change something about that

There were three of us eating dog and everyone was thrilled. Delicious Frankfurt specialties, large portions, good quality, nice ambience - what more could you want?

There are very good Hessian dishes. The staff are very friendly and helpful

We only drank something, but we liked the very friendly hospitality. In addition, the dishes looked really delicious. On our next visit, we will definitely eat something there. I can only recommend the restaurant.

Food was good. French fries are not so exhilarating.

A little piece of vacation in the middle of Höchst. The waiters are all super nice. The food is always delicious. There is something for everyone in the menu, and even extra wishes are gladly implemented. We have been coming here for years and will continue to do so :-)

A typical German eatery, with German fatty food and good German beer. Located on the square next to Hoechst Castle in the district, which was the only one that was not destroyed during 2WW. Food ok, the climate is, probably in the summer it is pleasant to sit outside. Calm place.

Good food and the portions are neat! The restaurant is a bedrock, was there as a small child with the family and now with my own ☺️ ..... is recommended

My bicycle tours often take me to Höchst. There I always return to the Old Customs Guard. The place is always well visited and the staff is very friendly and the order comes quickly to the table. Oh yes, the Handkäs had matured to the point. Simply delicious.

Nice restaurant on the Höchster Schlossplatz. The historic Schlossplatz alone is worth a visit. The food was tasty and plentiful. Service friendly and attentive. Prices slightly increased. Definitely a recommendation in good weather.

Crowded open air tables facing the market place and castle. Raw fish however is not my taste. Beer is good.

Nice restaurant centrally located in the beautiful Höchster Altstadt. They have indoor and outdoor seating. The staff is friendly and fast, the food (typically German style) is very tasty. In the summer it's very crowded outside but you usually find a a place to squeeze in. I recommend reservations for bigger groups though.

Great food and beer, menu in both German and English. Great atmosphere with very scenic walks around the surrounding area. If you're hungry, I highly recommend the pig knuckle. It's like a turkey drumstick wrapped in fresh pork rinds. If you're a cheese lover, the noodles and cheese is also great.

Nice restaurant with regional Hessian dishes and a cozy atmosphere. It is beautifully situated on Schlossplatz in Höchst in the heart of the historic old town. In summer you can also sit outside. The prices for the food are reasonable.

Get in the summer at 28 ° 1/2 duck with fresh potato dumplings at 20:30 clock! The hammer !! Delicious! The lady who brought us our orders was deeply relaxed ☆☆☆☆☆ stars for that. Everything was clean and well maintained. We come again and again!
